Freedman Capital Group, LLC (“FCG”, “we”) matches businesses seeking capital with lenders and investors, and operates related software services. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: name, business name, email address, phone number, and the details you provide about your financing need or your business.
- Account information: for services that require an account, your sign-in details. Passwords are stored hashed, never in readable form.
- Usage information: pages visited and basic analytics used to understand what is working on our site.
- Service records: records created in the course of providing a service to you, and an audit trail of changes to them.
SMS and mobile information
If you provide a mobile number and agree to receive text messages, we or a business using our software may send you service messages relating to your request or your account — for example status updates, items awaiting your approval, and billing notices. These are transactional service messages, not marketing.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, and are never sold.
Mobile numbers and message content are passed only to our messaging provider for the sole purpose of delivering the messages you asked to receive. You can reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Opt-out requests are recorded permanently and are honoured regardless of any prior consent.
How we use information
To provide the service you asked for: to understand your financing need, to introduce you to lenders or investors where relevant, to operate the software services we provide, and to send the notifications described above. We do not sell personal information.
Sharing
Where you ask to be matched, we share the information necessary for that introduction with the relevant lender or investor. We also use service providers — cloud hosting, email delivery, text message delivery, error monitoring, and analytics — who may process information solely to provide those functions to us. We disclose information when required by law.
Retention and your choices
We keep records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal and recordkeeping obligations. You may ask us to correct or delete your information by contacting us at the address below, and we will do so where we are not required to retain it.
Security
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, including encryption in transit and restricted access. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise.
Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page.
